Life in D.C.

I figured since I have something cool going on in my life for once, I better blog about it (thanks Kylie for the idea) ! I've been M.I.A. for too long. I decided a couple of months ago to take the semester off of school and move to D.C. My friend Meagan got an internship at the Capitol and needed a roomie so I agreed to do it. This was a hard decision for me because I have a good job and missing school just kills me but I figured i'm only young once so I might as well! I am here until May and I am nannying for a few of the weeks I am here. Mostly I just go out and explore... and EAT. There is such great food here its ridiculous. Growing up in sunny AZ i'm not used to the cold. Yesterday it was 50 degrees and I wanted to go walk around all day because that is so warm for me now! I've also had to get used to life without a car, I get around by taking buses and the metro. Not only is it costly it also takes triple the time to get places. I spend most of my time waiting at bus stops or metro stations.. its pretty fun :). I can't wait to be reunited with my car in 2 months. I'll post more in the next couple of weeks when the real fun begins... my little sister is coming to visit me for TEN days! I cannot wait!!
